"Serendipity" is a story about a group of students who created artificial hands for a local girl. Working in collaboration with the Strategic Content team at Notre Dame, I led the development aspect on this project. The piece won a CASE Award (gold) for best web site, individual page or section.

My contributions

  • Used JavaScript and CSS to for the different animations and transitions in the story.
  • Created the markup needed for the various kinds of slides.
  • Built the page with a mobile-first approach to ensure that mobile users would be have a good experience.
  • In order to help performance, I used JavaScript to stop and start background videos at the appropriate times.
