"We Built This City" follows a group of engineering students through the Big Apple. Working in collaboration with the Strategic Content team at Notre Dame, I led the development aspect on this project.
My contributions
- Used JavaScript and CSS to display the map full-bleed and keep the links on the map in the proper positions, regardless of viewport size.
- Built the site with a mobile-first approach to ensure that mobile users would be have a good experience.
- Used JavaScript for the page transitions.
- Built-in multiple ways of navigation in case there was a JavaScript failure and the map failed to load.
